An innocent 12-year-old boy was bombarded with bullets recently after being shot in the chest while walking on an NYC street.
While police and sources claim that the boy is expected to survive the brutal act of violence, it was a horrifying scare for citizens across the board. Local media outlets confirmed how the terrifying incident took place on Saturday night while he was walking on a street in Brooklyn.
An array of terror filled the air as shots rang during 9:50 pm. Investigations into the incident revealed how two groups started fighting between Malcolm X Boulevard as well as Madison Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant, mentioned the New York Police Department.
Cops explained how the boy heard the massive gunfire, feeling pain after being struck, and that was when he actually understood how he had been shot as mentioned by authorities.
Authorities are still unsure whether or not the boy was actually a bystander or had been a target of the incident.
The boy reportedly ducked down towards a nearby store that was selling liquor in the area, when asked for help. The immediately prompted the owner to make calls to 911. as reported by police sources.
Paramedics rushed the young child towards Maimonides Medical Center, where medical experts predict that he is expected to survive the brutal attack.
Authorities recovered a total of 5 shell casings along with the scene, searching for more evidence relating to the tragic incident. Moreover, as investigations into the case continue, authorities explained how they are now on the lookout for possible video footage of the gruesome incident.
However, as of today, there have been no arrests carried out so far, confirmed inside sources at the New York Police Department.
