A witness from the tragic Boulder shooting massacre revealed chilling scenes that took place on Monday afternoon.
According to the witness who was reportedly present at the scene on Monday, the 21-year-old shooting suspect yelled, “I surrender, I’m naked” to the officers so they could arrest him. She added how the gunman repeated the same line, several times.
The witness was identified by the officers as a worker from the same store that goes by the name Boulder’s King Soopers. Moreover, the heartbreaking mass killings resulted in the loss of 10 innocent lives, including one veteran officer who laid down his life to save many others.
The witness confirmed to a local media outlet how the suspect screamed at the police, “I surrender, I’m naked.
” This took place just 30 minutes after the first round of gunshot exchange.
25-year-old Maggie Montoya who is a pharmacy technician at the grocery store mentioned how her manager yelled out to her how there was an active shooter inside the store. On that note, the 25-year-old quickly took refuge inside a tiny room that contained a door made from heavy metal.
Maggie also added how the first 10 minutes of the incident were the most daunting of them all as that’s when the most gunshots were fired. But after that, she explained how the store actually got real quiet.
Soon, she also heard Boulder Police officers make a loud announcement via a loudspeaker. And that was the second time where the gunman mentioned, “I surrender, I am naked.” Police boldly told him that the whole building was surrounded.
Maggie says that it took officers around 20 minutes, right before cops entered the building. At this point, they took him into custody. She even went on to describe how some officers entered the store via the ceiling. The gunman was apparently near the pharmacy at that time and again, he yelled how he surrenders and how he was naked.
The 21-year-old was charged yesterday on 10 counts of murder and was identified as a Syrian immigrant named Ahmed Al Aliwi Alissa.
