Black Lives Matter demonstrators broke down Rochester’s police station barricades after cops pepper-sprayed a young girl.
The news comes as a part of a protest whereby BLM activists protested against the cruel actions of the police who didn’t even spare an innocent child. Moreover, news broke out on how the cops used pepper spray to deter a child, right before they arrested her.
According to media reports, the police station’s barricades came tumbling down as officers who were involved in the incident were reportedly suspended over the heinous crime.
Late Monday evening, a pack of BLM protesters gathered near a police station in Rochester in New York where they chanted slogans comprising of ‘Black Lives Matter.
’ On that note, anger and fury spread all around as they even managed to turn over all of the metal barriers that were set up outside the area’s vicinity.Just after that, the violent crowd moved towards the parking lot’s inner fence area.
And that’s where they began showing more violent behavior through a series of attacks.As the news began to take center stage around the country, Rochester’s mayor had no choice but to immediately suspend the cops involved in the pepper spray incident.
The young girl cried and screamed for her father as she was handcuffed and arrested by the police. On that note, officers also pepper-sprayed her face, ordering her to stop ‘behaving like a child.’ The entire incident was caught on police-body-cam footage, as reported by news outlets.
Lovely Warren, Rochester’s mayor, mentioned through Twitter how the officers’ suspension would continue for days, right after she met with the area’s police chief. This would be until a thorough police investigation was carried out on why the young child was arrested in the first place.
The mayor added how the incident was deeply saddening, horrible, and tragic. She also did not confirm how many cops were part of the recent suspension.
