President Joe Biden was quick to make a series of changes at the Oval Office, right after starting his first day of work.
According to sources, one great change included removing Donald Trump’s famous ‘diet coke button’ from the White House’s Oval Desk office recently. The abrupt and shocking change was a part of Biden’s redecoration plans that left social media abuzz. And as you can probably expect, Twitter had no chill with the countless number of memes, jokes, and funny comments galore.
While some mentioned that it could be back, others like PepsiCo talked about how the new president was more into Pepsi than Coke. In addition, some explained how fizzy drinks would soon be replaced by vanilla icecream, a particular favorite of the new US president.
Other than the diet coke button removal, viewers could spot a line of framed family photos. But one change that might have sparked a debate is how the president chose to remove Winston Churchill’s bust. Benjamin Franklin’s picture was replaced with a painting of Andrew Jackson too, which was present during Trump’s 4-year reign.
Clearly, the removal of Trump’s red-toned ‘diet coke button’ shocked many at the same time. In case you’re wondering how the news broke out, well, it’s all thanks to one journalist who posted side by side pictures of Joe Biden and Donald Trump sitting behind their desks.
While the changes were plenty, British journalist Tom Newton Dunn’s focus went primarily on the little red button which appeared to be missing from the desk.
According to inside sources, former US President Donald Trump was a fizzy drink fan, drinking up to 12 cans of diet soda a day.
How’s that for shocking and unhealthy? The journalist tweeted how Trump used to press the button and a can of diet coke would swiftly enter upon a silver platter. But now, it’s gone!
