President Joe Biden has confirmed how the tax hikes associated with his $2 trillion infrastructure plan will affect those earning $200,000.
The president shocked the nation after news broke out about the major decision that would bring about great increases in taxes. Rumors regarding those who would be affected filled the air and that’s when the president cleared the air and announced how those belonging to the $200K earning bracket would also be affected. In addition, the president went on to add how those earning $400,000 would actually be the category that would be hit the greatest.
Sources close to the Biden administration confirmed how the decision to impose a separate hike upon businesses would not slow down the government either.
For weeks, the president has mentioned on and off how his decision to impose the new laws regarding hikes upon the highest income earners would not affect anyone earning less than $400,000. But now, it appears that he fell short of his promise, after confirming how those earning $200,000 would also be affected.
On the other hand, the president’s updated phrasing of statements was a confirmation of the White House press secretary, Jen Psaki’s words, who acknowledged that two partner families would be affected in their combined income crossed the $400k benchmark.
Meanwhile, President Biden mentioned to reporters at a press briefing that was held at the White House recently how his mega infrastructure plan would actually be paid out by those who can afford the higher taxes. In addition, he referred to the decision as a once-in-a-generation type of investment that would certainly lead to a more stable economic future in the US.
Whatever the case may be, the President’s recent change of words didn’t go unnoticed by many who called him out for detracting from his own statements.
