Both the US President and Vice President Kamala Harris will meet alongside a number of Asian leaders in Atlanta, in wake of the gruesome and heinous crime that was directed towards the Asian community recently. The incident sparked outrage and fury around the globe, with the hashtag end Asian hate trending across various platforms on social media.
Moreover, the deadly spate of tragic shootings occurred on Tuesday and resulted in the loss of a total of 8 Asian people, of which 6 comprised of Asian women. During the incident, the gunman named Robert Aaron Long who is 21 years old, opened fire on 3 different massage parlors.
In the same way, the gunman spoke about how his motivation in carrying out the brutal crime revolved around a desire to get rid of his ‘sexual temptation.’ And that’s because investigations proved how he was a sex addict who blamed all of the massage parlors for it.
The incident triggered a tidal wave of protests over the increase in anti-Asian crimes throughout the nation, which led to Biden’s administration prompting discussions over the controversial subject.
