President Joe Biden is being criticized for removing the word ‘God’ from his National Day of Prayer Proclamation.
The shocking incident took place on Wednesday when the president delivered the proclamation that expressed the great power of prayer while inviting fellow Americans to give thanks. However, his action of omitting the term ‘God’ did not go unnoticed by many who couldn’t help but criticize him for the deed.
Moreover, the incident also went on marking the first event of its kind in modern history where a president had carried out such behavior. Since the law of 1952, every single US President was ordered to issue a proclamation that designated a specific day for ‘National Day of Prayer’. And this year, it happened to fall on the 6th of May.

Donald Trump’s Prayer had the word ‘God’ 8 times while Barack Obama’s included it twice. On the other hand, George W. Bush had prayer mentioned at least 4 times in his proclamation.
The service was held at the White House on Wednesday, where the president and first lady were seen bowing their heads during the virtual presentation for the inaugural prayer.
