It’s a miracle for asylum seekers who have traveled long distances with the hopes of entering the United States of America.
Reports confirmed how 25,000 migrants would now be granted permission of crossing the US-Mexico border, gaining entry into the US nation. And it’s all thanks to the efforts of Joe Biden’s current administration.
Previously, under the reign of former President Donald Trump, these people couldn’t gain entry and were hence forced to wait till their cases were pending in the courts.
Now, however, the current US president is painting another picture of peace and prosperity. And that’s when he approved their admission for entry, starting the 19th of this month.
The country’s Homeland Security department announced the sudden change in plans for all of those that were currently deployed in the Migrant Protection Protocols. This new law will effectively go in place soon, and is also being given the name of ‘Remain in Mexico.’
Trump made sure these asylum seekers didn’t gain entry till the court of law didn’t approve their registration. His call to action was more towards bringing an end or reversing the increasing surge in asylum seekers whose levels kept on peaking over the years.
Biden has mentioned, time and time again, that the goal of the USA is to remain committed towards a safe as well as orderly, and humane immigration system.
“The latest step is to bring about a change in immigration policies that don’t align with the country’s values,” claimed one of the ruling party’s representatives.
Today, the Biden administration claims that there are around 25,000 individuals that are currently enrolled in the protocols and have very active cases.
Hence, the government has strictly advised the migrants to remain in place as they are looking forward to the introduction of a ‘virtual registration process.’ Therefore, it will be accessible from everywhere, giving these migrants instant relief with convenience.
