Tech giant Apple has announced a shocking revelation for users around the globe as it plans to release it’s new iPhone 12 without any power charger or AirPods.
According to an unidentified leaker, the new iPhone 12 will require users to separately purchase the accessories. The new phone’s release date is set for later this year and this time around, users will get a rather empty looking box.
Generally, Apple has always sold all of its iPhone boxes with an adapter, alongside a stellar pair of its famed wired EarPods. However this year, things are looking rather gloomy for fans as the tech giant has decided to sell them off separately.
According to unnamed sources, the company is choosing to do so due to an increase in production costs, relating to the parts that work alongside 5G.
The drastic change is set to apply to all of the company’s four brand new iPhone 12 variants, all set to be released by October of this year.point 374 |
Likewise, the change will also apply to the budget iPhone SE, another Apple model that was released at the start of the year.point 103 | Apple product predictor and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said, “Apple will stop including the power adapter with the second-generation iPhone SE later this year.point 240 |

Another head-turning feature relates to the mere fact that the new iPhone 12 might not support wired accessories such as headphones, in the first place. And that means it could push customers to Apple’s startling £160 worth, Bluetooth powered, wireless AirPods.
These claims are coming in from one of the most renowned Apple merchandise predictors as well as Analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo. All the revelations were detailed in a comprehensive research note, held by MacRumors.
Apple has left it up to customers to decide on their own, regarding whether or not they wish to purchase a separate power charger or earphones, both of which can reduce a hefty amount of e-waste.
Simultaneously, the lack of accessories such as the power adapter and the earphones, have the potential of granting the new iPhone 12 with a sleeker and more eco-friendly packaging. And that, in turn, means a slash in shipping costs.
