Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was recently blasted for exaggerating her experience from the Capitol riots.
According to news reports, the lawmaker wasn’t even present at the attack site but was in fact located in a building nearby. Yet, she staged a dramatic episode of how the mega ordeal instilled terror and fear within, causing her to fear for her life.
The fact that the lawmaker kept on exaggerating her trauma from the riots that rocked DC’s Capitol building has many questioning her stance on the occasion. Since the 4 weeks post the riots attacks, the lawmaker made the news when she kept on complaining how close of an encounter she had with her death. But that baffled so many others who claimed she was in the building next door.
Today, more details emerged from her encounter, where people talked about how she was in her office the whole time. It is situated in the Cannon building, as rioters stormed into the mega Capitol building in DC.
While her office is considered to be a part of the Capitol complex, it is not actually located in the Capitol building itself. However, the latest details did reveal how she was barricaded in her officer for long hours. And that’s when a man suddenly arrived, knocking on her door. He was identified as a police officer who stormed into her office and guided her to a safer destination.
However, AOC had a completely different story to say. She mentioned the officer had great anger and frustration in his eyes, putting her in a ‘vulnerable’ situation. But still, the lawmaker moved forward by placing her trust in him, deciding she wouldn’t pass any judgment at that particular moment.
AOC’s entire encounter of the incident is baffling so many other democratic lawmakers who claim she over-exaggerated her experience, putting the blame on her anxiety and past turmoils. Hence, that is the reason why she couldn’t speak about the incident in the first place.
Looks like AOC is in deep waters as people are asking her for proof on her previous statements made through public press releases.
