One drug addict is going to jail for his heinous crime of beating up an 88-year-old grandfather to death.
According to reports, the heartless man battered the innocent 88-year-old in a ‘burglary gone wrong’ incident.’And now, he will spend 32 years in jail for his wrongdoing.
Darren McClean allegedly attacked Dennis Kellond in April by barging into his residence at Godstone in Surrey. Moreover, he smashed his way into the home with an ornamental frog. Meanwhile, sources confirmed how the grandfather’s son found the deceased body, two days later.
The brutal killer received charges for murder and then a sentence of life imprisonment by Guildford’s Crown Court. And that was right after his less than 7-day trial.
On the other hand, the court was surprised to find out how Mr. Kellond was a healthy pensioner who loved the independent life. He also had 8 grandchildren. The killer left him with devastating injuries, causing him to die. And that’s when the criminal fled swiftly from the scene.
Soon, the police caught him and arrested him. However, he denied taking part in any offense and that when he attempted to put the blame on plenty of others. The brutal killer even stole the innocent grandfather’s cufflinks, which police found at his home.
The victim’s impact statements resounded in so many people’s ears in the courtroom. They were filled with grief and immense pain, reflecting on their loved one’s death.
You could also witness his adult children as well as grandchildren holding back plenty of their emotions. Similarly, his daughter Kate Kellond talked about how she last spoke to her father on Friday. And that was just one day before the gruesome attack. She even explained how they laughed about matters relating to Trump’s suggestion for injecting bleach into people.
But she never imagined how she would soon find out about his tragic death. The fact that her father died so tragically is totally unbearable. It’s one loss that no love one can ever forget for the rest of their lives.
