The coronavirus COVID-19 has affected more than 188 countries and territories around the world.
Not only elderly people but even some celebrities and athletes have also become a victim of it. Recently, the Transformers actress Sophia Myles, 40, took to Twitter on Saturday to share the tragic news about her father’s death. She posted a last grievous snap of herself at the medical clinic visiting her dad hours before the incident.
The actress tweeted “RIP Peter Myles. My dear Dad died only a few hours ago. It was the Corona Virus that finally took him.”
Just a few hours before the death, Sophia posted a photo on her Instagram with her dad, where the dad is seen on ventilators due to having breathing problems. The actress also told that her dad had been suffering from Parkinson’s Disease.
Sophia posted a picture with her father saying, “Yesterday I went on a journey to see my father. This is the harsh reality of the Coronavirus.”
It has been noted that elderly people are more likely to be affected with the disease. She said, “Just a warning to everyone, my father now is in a locked ward with a bunch of people who have the virus and they’re all dying. ‘Most of them are elderly… Please, please take this seriously guys.”
The actress has been posting various updates about Mr Myles, a retired Church of England vicar who got famous after starring in The Prince and The Pauper as Lady Jane Grey in 1996.
As of now, 13,699 people have died so far from the coronavirus COVID-19 including 340 in the U.S. and 4,825 in Italy.
