Activists are protesting against the renaming of a Chicago school after Barack Obama, whom they claim to be an oppressor.
The immigration activists were loud and clear when it came to their objection and the renaming of the Chicago school with plenty of people speaking their minds on the subject.
One District 60 school board member mentioned how he would not be a part of the decision to rename the school as he believes Obama did not and certainly does not represent the community. In the same way, he spoke about how he came to America as one undocumented child, as reported by ABC 7 Chicago.

Meanwhile, one of the top contenders for the Thomas Jefferson Middle School’s renaming had to do with Black President Barack Obama, alongside First Lady Michelle Obama. But if you think that such a decision would go unnoticed by the masses, then you better think again.
The name drew plenty of ire from an array of immigration activists as well as a few belonging to the Latino community. Moreover, these activists went as far as staging protests right outside a board meeting that was held on Tuesday.
A lot of activists felt that President Barack Obama didn’t do justice as a leader of the US. They put out their emotions with the following bold words, “We feel strongly that Barack Obama did a disservice to us. He denied us all and he did not stop the deportations either, the way that he had promised us all,” they continued.
The activists added how Obama was another oppressor, similar to Thomas Jefferson and hence, families did not wish to see his name.
