Guinness World Record has not been invited to include her name or verify her as the world’s oldest living woman. However, Shanghai’s China Records and Flag World Records, both based in China, have registered her. As per Guinness World Record, the world’s oldest woman was Jeanne Loiuse Calment, A French lady who expired in 1997 when she was 127-years old.
Meanwhile, the oldest living woman in the Guinness World Record is a Japanese lady Kane Tanaka who is currently 117-years old since Almihan Seyiti is not registered in it.
As a matter of fact, Almihan’s original birth documents can never be genuinely verified owing to the lack of census data in the Qing Dynasty’s era in which minorities were blurred and since Seyiti belongs to ethnic Uyghur, her true age will remain a mystery for the Western world.
Almihan Seyiti married at the age of 17 and her husband died in 1976.
