President Biden is crediting his own administration for their role in putting forward the recent ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
However, the news raised plenty of eyebrows across the board as many felt he was downplaying Egypt’s mighty role in this task and instead, planned on taking the credit by himself.
News broke out last night about how the massive destruction and conflict taking place between both sides would soon come to an end.
But it wasn’t clear what or who exactly led to the peace between the two nations. On that note, news reports began confirming how Egypt was actually the nation that rendered a helping hand and brokered the peace in the first place.
The President of the US made the shocking announcement recently at the White House, where he did manage to include a complement to Egyptian leaders and officials regarding their major role in the end for the violence that resulting in countless loss of innocent human life.
However, the President didn’t fail to mention, or shall we say emphasize and reiterate how his administration was the one who worked relentlessly towards the objective of peace.
“Over the last few days, I have managed to speak with the Prime Minister at least six times. In the same way, I also managed to speak with President Abbas too as well as the Palestinean authorities on several occasions. And this was an intense diplomatic engagement that went on.”
In the same way, the President went ahead and thanked his Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, as well as National Security Adviser too, alongside everyone on the team for their efforts, adding how this was definitely the outcome that many expected to see.
“We used to hold meetings, hour by hour, with the aim of avoiding and sorting this conflict that we managed to witness over the years,” the President boldly added.
