The Duke of Sussex has sat down with host Oprah Winfrey again for his latest Apple TV series where he sheds light on shocking details relating to Meghan Markle’s suicidal thoughts.
Prince Harry spoke to Oprah for the second down now for his latest show which will soon be aired.
As the show’s theme is mental health, the Duke mentioned how his own wife struggled and battled severely with suicidal thoughts. The 36-year-old shed light upon how Meghan Markle prevented herself from killing herself as she was very concerned about him.“She just couldn’t possibly think about putting her husband in such a vulnerable position of losing another woman in my life,” he added.
On the other hand, Harry revealed how ashamed he felt to watch the situation deteriorate to such a grave extent. “She would lie awake all night and for her, one of the most haunting things had to be her own clarity of thought.
The docuseries comes titled ‘The Me You Can’t See’ where he opens up in a manner that not too many have seen. This particular interview spoke a lot about one night where Meghan Markle confronted Harry, explaining how she was suicidal.
In the same way, the show goes on to show some images as well as footage of both Harry and Meghan in a room together with the lights down in London’s Royal Albert Hall. This event was from two years ago, right before Meghan reportedly broke down in tears.
Meghan was pregnant with Harry’s child and the pair had been married for less than one year. And that’s when in January of 2019, she revealed to her husband how she was deeply depressed.
Meghan felt it would be unfair and selfish of her to put herself first before Harry and hence opted not to kill herself, after everything that took place with Harry’s mum, Princess Diana.
“There was a baby inside of her, our baby, and she just couldn’t let that happen,” he revealed.
