TB Broadcaster Robert Bradfield is reporting a story about a pig born without hind legs and he totally loses it after reading out its name — “Chris P Bacon”.
Being a television news anchor, the main part of the job is to report everything from breaking news to local news and national events. While it may seem simple, broadcasting live is not as easy as it appears.
On live TV, anything can happen at any moment so a newscaster has to be always prepared for whatever goes their way. They should always be informed, composed, and professional on camera.
However, sometimes it cannot be avoided that there are stories that can throw an anchor off and make them lose all their poise.
Robert Bradfield is a newscaster for NBC’s WPSD Local 6 in Paducah, Kentucky.
Bradfield was close to the end of his newscast when he came across a story about a disabled pot-bellied pig. As he was reading out the teleprompter the pig’s name flashed across the screen and that’s when he lost it!
The pig’s name, Chris P Bacon, was too much for him to handle and made him burst into uncontrollable laughter.
Bradfield can’t even breathe because he’s laughing so hard and he can’t seem to get over the pig’s clever name. His laughter is out of control, and hilarious to watch!
Eventually, the newscaster gives up on attempting to read the rest of the story because he knows he just can’t, he even tries to have somebody else read it. His reaction is absolutely entertaining!
Just in case you were wondering, this awesome pig, Chris P Bacon was born without his hind legs and because of that, he was brought into a Florida vet’s office where he was scheduled to be euthanized.
But instead of putting this little piglet down the vet, Dr Len Lucero took over and saved him. He created his new pig a wheelchair to help him get around and he shared a video of the pig learning to use his new set of wheels.
Surprisingly, it quickly went viral!
Now, Chris P Bacon is a celebrity pig who travels the world. He joins on fundraisers for the disabled and visits children at school to spread his inspiring story of conquering both the odds and his disability.
He’s really exceptional and has a genuine way of brightening everyone’s day.
