The Rio Mora National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico sent netizens into a spotting frenzy after they posted this photo:
In the image, a sneaky mountain lion patiently waits for the right moment to attack an elk.
It’s safe to say that the elk was completely unaware of the cougar’s presence because it is very well hidden.
The question is, can you find the predator? Once again, take a look at the photo.
If you cannot find it at first glance, you are not alone. Many people reacted and commented on the photo admitting that they cannot spot the mountain lion.
“That was tougher than I thought it was going to be,” one person wrote.
“I cannot find it!” another person has said. “Any clues please?”

According to The National Wildlife Federation, mountain lions are stealthy creatures. They hunt at night and are often patiently waiting for prey or silently stalking it before attacking them from behind.
If you are wondering what happened to the elk, the refuge said:
“We are not sure,” the Rio Mora National Wildlife Refuge said. “The elk moved on and the puma moved out into the open and towards where the elk was. We are not sure what finally happened.”
