A 39-year-old woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after she smuggled a loaded gun inside her vagina into the county jail.
According to local media outlets, Amy Wilhite was termed guilty by the jury for carrying out a felony in terms of delivery as well as possession of a loaded weapon into the county jail. For this reason, she was punished for the crime by being sentenced to 10 years in Missouri’s state jail.
In February, she was originally arrested over charges relating to the possession of drugs and hence was booked into Boone’s County
Jail.

Shockingly, the weapon was not discovered by the officers, until two whole weeks later, confirmed reports.
This is despite the fact that a team of corrections officers had conducted pat as well as strip searches over the woman. Yet, they failed to find anything, including the 22 caliber gun that came in a mini size. Moreover, the fact that it was masked inside her vagina really shocked many later on.
After a period of nearly 17 days, guards discovered the weapon weighing 4.6 ounces, completely loaded with about 5 rounds. This was a part of her possessions at the jail cell, mentioned a local report.

As far as the weapon’s exact dimensions are concerned, it was nearly 4 inches long, had a height of 2.38 inches, and was about 0.88 inches in width, as specified by the KOMU 8.
After the surprising discovery, the suspect admitted to its possession. However, she did also mention how the weapon was held for another fellow detainee. But all of the other inmates mentioned how Wilhite possessed the firearm for herself, all along.
Investigations into Wilhite’s background revealed her troubled past. Clearly, this was not the first time that she had been in jail with multiple criminal offenses underneath her name, confirmed reports.
