A high school teacher from New Jersey has been removed from his teaching duties and placed on a paid leave after he reportedly called George Floyd a ‘f*cking criminal’ in front of his students.
Howard Zlotkin’s fiasco was reportedly recorded during the Zoom class on Wednesday, mentioned local media outlets. Hailing from the Dickinson High School where he performed his regular teaching services, for the past 20 years, it was shocking for many to see this type of behavior coming from him.
Zlotkin reportedly called George Floyd out by mentioning how he was a f****g criminal but that was just the beginning of his violent behavior.
Moreover, he reportedly called all of the teachers out at the point in time as well, mentioning, f*** you as well to them.
And just in case that wasn’t enough, the teacher began showing his middle finger as well.News reports also spoke about how Zlotkin had allegedly demanded several different female students who were black to write essays, while the rest of the class wasn’t told to do the same.
The very next day, he even went ahead and personally called one of his black students out again during the online Zoom class. Clearly, his behavior was very bias and appeared to target those coming from the Black race.
But the incident didn’t go unnoticed by many. The school immediately took notice of the teacher’s shocking stance over the entire incident, calling him out. They also suspended him from his relevant teaching duties, putting him on paid leave, confirmed reports.
Why the teacher subjected his own students to a vulgar rant is still a question on so many people’s minds. While the conversation is initially about climate change, students claimed the teacher soon opted to twist and turn it into a different direction altogether.
Investigations into the case are still in the process of being documented while the teacher has failed to respond to queries put out by local media outlets.
