According to the latest statistics, the American police have killed more than 100 children in the past six years.
Out of the 111 children who lost their lives, the studies showed how 23 of those individuals belonged to the age group that was below 15. And that makes it even more shocking for many to believe.
The new revelation came into the spotlight when recent news broke about how an officer belonging to the Ohio police department had brutally shot dead a 16-year-old black teen named Ma’Khia Bryant.
But right before that tragic incident, another young teen named Adam Toledo was fatally shot dead by cops in Chicago.
He was only 13 years old. Moreover, the recent surge in brutality and gun violence has shocked the nation with much demanding justice and a transparent investigation into the cases that continue to spark outrage.
The new information was compiled by the Washington Post who found that the young teenager’s deaths were not isolated events.
Moreover, children were seen to be in the figures of 111 and they were brutally killed by cops.
The majority belong to the age group of below 18 years since 2015, while some continue to remain unidentified, confirmed reports.Out of the individuals who were shot dead by the American Police, statistics revealed how a giant chunk of the majority belonged to either the Black or the Hispanic group. Therefore, they made up a value of around 37% as well as 25% respectively too.
Meanwhile, separate data was also compiled recently by the Mapping Police Violence, who showed that there have been up to 175 killings with many below the age of 18 since the year 2013. Shockingly, three of those victims were just one year old.
In the same way, the organization also found how many of the killings had almost zero accountability attached to them with about 99% of the deaths resulting due to police officers who continue to remain uncharged for their crimes.
