Estranged brothers Prince Harry and William were reunited for the first time at their grandfather’s funeral after spending more than one year apart.
Both Prince Harry and William were pictured not standing side by side or shoulder to shoulder. Instead, they were present on either side of their cousin Peter Philips as they walked in a silent file behind their grandfather’s casket.
William appeared to move ahead of his brother Harry as the coffin made its way into St George’s Chapel, which was the final resting place for the Duke. After that, both brothers appeared to take their final seats far apart from one another.
This is the first time that the royal brothers appeared together in public, ever since the Westminster Abbey Service that was held in March of 2020.
With that being said, both Prince William and Prince Harry appeared to speak to one another in a rather cheerful mood as they exited the chapel and left their grandfather’s funeral service at Windsor Castle today.
The princes spoke to each other while walking out of the St George’s Chapel, right after the funeral service ended in the afternoon. Their discussion was undoubtedly impromptu and not something that many people were expecting. Moreover, it was also a surprise for many to see how some members of the Royal Family opted to walk back towards the castle, despite their vehicles being parked in front of them.
At the same time, it also gave the media a golden opportunity to shoot a great angle of the princes as they were observed talking while they were walking.
On the other hand, Prince Harry’s friend named Tom Bradby who was a presenter for today’s funeral coverage mentioned how funerals are one of the best times for reconciliation and this is one sight of the brothers that many longed to see.
Both William and his brother Harry appeared somber while they walked in absolute silence behind their grandfather’s casket, which made its way towards the chapel.
