Star rapper DMX has been rushed to the hospital after suffering a major heart attack brought on by a drug overdose.
Inside sources confirmed how the star suffered from a heart attack that took place while he was at his home on Friday. Therefore, he was immediately rushed to the hospital’s critical care unit, where medical experts described his condition to be in a ‘vegetative state’.
On the other hand, some close sources of the rapper mentioned that there was some visible brain activity, as reported by TMZ. The 50-year-old rapper took an overdose around 11 pm, after which loved ones rushed him to New York’s closest hospital that was located in White Plains.
DMX is an entertainer whose actual name is Earl Simmons. While the exact condition of the star is unclear as of this moment, many doctors did mention how they feared the worst, predicting how he might not be able to pull through. This news comes at a time when one inside source did report a little brain activity.
The entertainer is termed to be one of the biggest stars of the 90’s and early 2000’s era who gave the rap industry a wonderful name. However, he was also infamous for his many battles regarding substance abuse too. In the same way, he kept on making headlines, time and time again, for checking in and out of rehab over the span of his career.
His last performance was in 2019, where he performed after nearly 10 months since his release from jail. Meanwhile, sources quote that the star was not seen with any dangerous signs of relapse ever since then. He was even photographed at a public event this February where he appeared to be doing just fine.
Fans, followers, and loved ones sent out prayers for the star’s recovery after the tragic news broke out today.
