A Tenessee woman was fatally shot and killed by an officer, right after a shootout that took place at a parking lot recently.
According to media reports, the woman was quickly rushed into surgery right after the tragic incident, as shown by viral graphic video footage.
The shocking morning encounter took place on Friday, where viewers can clearly see an intensely violent encounter between a 31-year-old citizen from Tenessee Nika N. Holbert, and a police officer from Metro Nashville. Here, the 14-year-old veteran officer deployed a taser over the woman, as he boldly ordered her to step out of her vehicle.
Next, the Nashville officer attempts to try and take the woman out into custody. At that very moment in time, viewers can hear the woman screaming as she reaches out for a handgun. On that note, she opens fire upon the police officer, who quickly shoots back, resulting in the woman’s fatal wounds.
Baker informed Holbert from the start how he would taser her as she made attempts to get away initially. On that note, she attempts to run away as the officer makes it a point to arrest her in handcuffs, as shown by the graphic video. Soon, loud commands of ‘Get down! Get down on the ground” can be heard.
At that very moment in time, Holbert is seen smoking a cigarette as she casually ignores the officer’s commands. Next, she tries to get back into her vehicle too, and that is when she gets hit by the officer’s stun gun. At this point, she yells for help with chilling sounds taking center stage in the horrifying video.
The footage shows her trying to reach for a weapon while attempting to sit in the driver’s seat. At this moment in time, she also tries to struggle against the officer.
Baker continually asks her to put the weapon down twice. But he soon falls to the ground, right after being shot by the 31-year-old woman. Baker attempts to inform the backup crew how ‘shots have been fired.’ But the video shows Holbert driving off.
Soon, officers pronounce her as dead at a nearby hospital. On the other hand, Baker was shot beneath his bulletproof vest and hence remained in stable condition, after doctors perform surgery.
