Emma Ellingsen, a trans influencer, opens up about the comments she had to face regarding her gender in the latest Youtube video.
The Norway star claims that she often receives comments like “OMG, you don’t look like a transgender person” “You are so pretty, I don’t believe you’re trans.” Emma said comments like these show how people had set a particular image for trans people to look like.
They need to know that transgender is not a specific look, it is a gender, and we also differ in appearances the way every male and female do.It is essential to acknowledge that all transgender people don’t have the same look.
People often leave surprising comments under her pictures and videos after knowing that she is transgender. “I didn’t know that you are a trans, and now when you’ve told, I still can’t believe,” someone wrote.
“I always try hard to find the male looks in you but honestly, you look so feminine. Please consider pursuing modeling as a career.” Another person commented.
Emma said she had known from the beginning that she is trans, but she understood her gender after watching a documentary at the age of 8.
She also said that her mother didn’t change her name after knowing her gender until 11.
Emma started getting social media following when she was very young; however, she gained remarkable recognition and fame after uploading a video on Youtube titled “I am transgender.”
People also objected that apart from looks, her voice is also not manly.
The model replied that since she knew about her gender from the beginning, she took hormone inhibitors to avoid puberty.Due to the hormone blockers, her voice didn’t change, and she also didn’t develop facial hair.
She also said she started taking female hormones at 16 and got breast augmentation later to increase her breast size.Emma said she had only got boobs surgery yet and is waiting on transfeminine bottom surgery. She left a much-needed message for other people of her community that they don’t need to look a certain way. They should only do what they want and what they like.
