Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner were spotted enjoying an outing on Sunday amid rumors of tensions between him and former President Donald Trump over his election loss.
Their children, Arabella, Theodore, and Joseph, as well as his parents Charles and Seryl Kushner, joined the couple was seen boarding a small boat while holding towels and other belongings.
The senior Kushner, who was pardoned by Trump for his tax crimes, witness tampering, and illegal campaign contributions conviction, was seen talking with his son and a boat operator as the vessel left the dock.
Meanwhile, the former president was seen holed up at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, for the last six weeks before heading to New York City on Sunday.
The visit comes amid rumors of escalating tensions between Trump and Kushner, with the latter serving as the White House Senior Adviser during the Trump administration.
Claims from people close to the two men over who is to blame for the apparent rift had been contradictory, but it appeared that the two actively avoid each other at the Trump National Doral golf course last Wednesday.
Sources from Kushner’s side claim that he has “checked out of politics” because he is “done” with Trump’s false rhetoric of widespread election fraud.
Trump advisor Jason Miller denied the rumors of the rift, claiming that the two met up at the club right before their separate golf outings and had lunch together this past week.
However, Kushner was missing from a meeting where Trump brought together his top advisers to plan his political future late last week, including the 2022 midterms.
Someone who worked with Kushner during the Trump administration confirmed that his absence was unusual, as he was one of Trump’s closest advisers and was involved in almost all activities in the Oval Office.
