Republican Senator Mitt Romney was recently harassed by MAGA supporters at Utah’s Airport.
Pro-Trump supporters mocked the senator as he failed to side with President Donald Trump, just ahead of the Congress session. This groundbreaking event, held at the US Capitol, certified the Electoral College results.
In a shocking video that was posted through an account on Twitter, Romney sits patiently as he awaits the time for his flight.
The senator was traveling from Salt Lake City towards Washington D.C. And that’s when out of the blue, an angry MAGA supporter appears. It looks as if the furious woman approached him, calling him out for his recent actions.
This includes how the senator failed to side with the US president in regards to his claims of rigging and fraud during the elections. In a rather enraged tone, the furious woman questions the senator, “Why aren’t you supporting President Trump?”
Mitt Romney makes sure he responds by saying how he does in fact support, President Trump. “I’m sorry, I do agree with many of the things that he has to say and what he believes in,” explains Romney. “I support him!”
Unhappy with the senator’s answer, the woman continues to pressurize Mitt Romney about the current US election results. And that’s when the senator decides to give a calm and composed answer.
“It’s a long story but a very constitutional process too. And the constitution is very clear,” he mentions. In the same way, Romney explains how he intends to follow the Constitution and informs the woman how he will reveal it all when he meets in Congress. The senator is expected to make his appearance next week.
Meanwhile, the enraged woman doesn’t stop there. She mentions how he was voted as a conservative to represent all of the conservative constituents, period.
However, the bold Senator calmly replies, how that isn’t the way that the Constitution works. And that’s when the senator slowly closely his laptop and decides to walk away peacefully.
But that’s not the end of his miseries. While aboard his flight, another enraged passenger calls him a ‘traitor.’ The entire time, the senator remained calm and acted like it didn’t both him.
