A 2-minute long video that went viral on the internet shows a white man beaten with a can for hurling a racial slur at a black customer.
The man was continuously teasing the black customer by calling the n-word when the infuriated man smacked him with a can of iced tea. The incident took place at a gas station in Ohio, where a racist felon hurled abusive remarks on a black customer. The man in the black hoodie was not wearing a face mask and was caught saying “F*** your momma, n****” repeatedly.
The black customer didn’t react initially and warned him that he shouldn’t disrespect him and must stop, but the obstinate man continued taunting him. “Where are you from, n****? I am going to say n****, all day, every day.” He enunciated the n-word, similar to how black people would say it to friends.
The black man managed not to lose his temper for almost 2 minutes, but when he saw the taunter crossing the limits, he picked a can of twisted tea to teach him a lesson. The white man didn’t stop after that too and instead started shouting, “Wait, you want to smack me with that? Smack me n****.”
The man couldn’t keep his cool anymore and knocked him to the ground, smacking him with a can of iced tea.
He didn’t stop here and punched his face several times, daring him to repeat the n**** slur.
Someone recorded the whole incident and posted the video on social media, which has gained more than 1. 8 million views and thousands of reshares. The man left the scene leaving behind the man lying on the floor, saying, “I warned you to not say n**** word to me.” Nobody called the police to interfere, and none of the men has faced penalty charges. We are unsure when the incident took place, but the video was posted on December 24 and has captured millions of people’s attention.
“When will white people learn not to say n**** word in public,” someone wrote.
“He will think twice before repeating the n**** word,” joked another.
The internet is full of “Twisted Tea” memes related to the incident, and people say the man had done more to stop racism than Donald Trump. While some others think the physically violent confrontation was unnecessary.
