A mother, 46, couldn’t pay her bill at a Tesco because her pin became locked, and she was left in tears when a random stranger paid the bill for her.
The woman from Aigburth was shopping for Christmas, and she discovered that her bank card had been blocked as soon as she reached the checkout at Tesco. She was left in embarrassment as she had no money to pay £69 for her shopping. A girl in a red jumper stepped in and paid the bill. The woman was touched by this sweet act of kindness and almost cried in disbelief.
Paula Fletcher, 46, didn’t know what to do when the counterman told her that her pin had a problem. A young girl standing behind her in the queue made the woman cry by paying the amount for her. The mother was at the Tesco for Christmas eve shopping including, chocolates, Brussels, sprouts, and Yankee candles.
Fletcher said she went downstairs to resolve the issue, but to her surprise, the cashier told her that a girl had paid the bill for her. She was overwhelmed and started crying. She acknowledged how hard this year has been for everyone, but some kind people are still keeping the hopes alive.
People usually help strangers near Christmas eve as a gesture of goodwill and kindness. The emotional mum posted the incident along with the bill’s picture on her Facebook account, hoping that the kind girl reaches her as she owes a debt of gratitude to her.
