White House’s head of security recovered from severe illness due to Covid-19 after spending three months in the hospital.
54-year-old Crede Bailey has now recovered, but he lost his right leg and left foot while struggling to recover from the covid-19. Bailey’s friend said that he remained in ICU for three months and was one of the dozen White House members who fell seriously ill due to coronavirus.
Bailey was reported to contract coronavirus in early October, but now a friend who raised funds for him revealed the complete story of his struggle. She said that Bailey lost his toe and leg battling covid-19, which he contracted in September. He had been in so much pain for the last three months.
Bailey was a former army officer and a career civil servant whose job was to liaise with the Secret Service and supervise the issuance of security credentials.
Dawn McCrobie, Bailey’s friend, set up a GoFundMe page for him, and the case was verified and confirmed to Bloomberg by two people who were aware of his condition.
The White House aide is married and has one kid.More than $36000 was raised for the rehabilitation of Bailey.
We are not sure that the commander-in-chief, Mr.
Donald Trump, who was also diagnosed with coronavirus in October, contributed or not. McCrobie updated Bailey’s condition on the GoFundMe page to inform all the contributors he is doing well. She added that Bailey is a proud man who never wants to take others’ help, and he wouldn’t like what she has done.
McCrobie also said that she will still need the support to clear Bailey’s medical bills and the adjustments needed to deal with the disability also require a lot of money. On Monday, December, 7 McCrobie wrote that Bailey has been discharged from the ICU and is now admitted to a full-time rehabilitation center.
She prayed and hope that he will soon return to a normal life.
She also added that though he had defeated the coronavirus but had lost his toe and foot; thus, prayers are needed. We wish he gain the strength and learn to live a normal and new life.It might not be easy for him to live with the disability, but we wish him all the best.
