Jessica Mae Andrew suffers from a broken bone and several injuries after a police dog attacked her.
The dog attacked the woman at an illegal rave on Saturday, October 31. Authorities are investigating the claims of the woman as she announced to take legal action against the police. The partygoer said the dog attacked her without any warning while she was dancing. Around 700 people were attending the party when the incident took place. Andrew required skin and muscle grafts after getting mauled by the dog.
“I was busy enjoying the party when this wild dog came out of nowhere. He grabbed me by my thigh and knocked me to the floor. I was left screaming in pain. The injuries were so severe, the bite left a hole in my calf as big as my fist,” said Ms. Andrew.
The photographs of the incident shared on social media show the woman lying on the floor surrounded by cops with riot shields.
A blurred image of the police dog lunging towards the woman can also be seen.
“It was all good until the dog attacked me. I know we shouldn’t have been partying during the pandemic, but this is not acceptable,” said the womanLain Gould has taken the case; he is an expert in handling the allegations against the police.
Gould said, “The dog was out of control. He started biting the woman’s leg, gapping a big hole with bones exposed.
My client is accused of attending the dance party. Police should also be held accountable for what their dog did” He also said police should publicly apologize to his client.Deploying the dog on her can not be justified.
Following the event, the chief constable Andy Marsh said they stopped hundreds of people from entering the party, and hundreds were already present. “Our officers faced threats, punches, and kicks by the people. We will hunt all those and will bring them to justice,” said Andy Marsh
