A photographer mum lets a nanny breastfeed her 7-month-old daughter as she goes to work.
The baby named Effie feels very comfortable with Nanny Chloe Whitcomb, who looks after her during day time. Chloe herself is the mother of a two-year-old son, Rudy. She feeds both Effie and Rudy at the same time. Effie’s mother said she’s too happy with Chloe and thinks she has found a perfect babysitter.
Chloe, who is 26-year-old, said this is her first experience of feeding someone else’s child.
She also said she is now looking forward to providing the services as a milk donor nanny to others.
Many people found this unusual setup disgusting yet, Leann, Effie’s mother, thinks we need to normalize the wet-nursing trend. This will ease the things for working mums.26-year-old Leann has another daughter Cornelia who is 3 and is in pre-school. Leann said that after the birth of Cornelia, I was so desperate to go back to work when I found that I’m expecting again. Effie has a dairy allergy, and she also refused to drink my milk in a bottle. I get entirely disappointed and thought I couldn’t resume my job as Effie needed breast milk.
“I was so happy when Chloe offered to breastfeed Effie that I didn’t give it a second thought and said yes right away. I think this is the perfect solution,” said Leann. She further added she’s satisfied with the nanny as Effie remains happy with her.
Chloe also said she has no problem wet nursing Leann’s baby, and she finds it natural. According to Chloe, Effie feeds from her right breast while her son feeds from the left.
Chloe and Leann first met at a breastfeeding support group, and they became friends later.
They both are from the West Midlands and share a great bond.
Both the ladies are very opinionated about breastfeeding and said they feel no shame in breastfeeding their kids as long as they demand it. Leann said she breastfed her elder daughter until she was 2 and self-weaned.Chloe proved to be a perfect wet nurse; she changed her diet to feed Effie as Effie has a severe dairy intolerance.
