President Donald Trump honors Veteran Day by visiting the tomb of a soldier at Arlinton Nation Cemetery.
This was his first appearance since he lost elections.
The annual presidential tradition occurred on November 12, 2020 Wednesday. It has been six days since the election loss, and Trump has not faced the public. Tweets, claiming the fraud voters, were continuously being shared by Trump while staying at the White House.
Trump didn’t give any remarks on the historic win of Joe Biden, who surpassed 270 electoral votes. Before making an appearance on Wednesday, Trump faced cameras six days ago. In the meantime, he stayed at the White House and stepped out only on the weekend to pay a visit to his private golf club at Northern Virginia.
Trump fired his defense secretary Mark Esper after the election loss. The current acting Defence Secretary of trump is Christopher Miller. Miller accompanied trump on Wednesday at Veteran Day. Melania Trump, the first lady of the US, Mike Pence, the vice president, and his wife Karen Pence were also spotted with trump at Arlington National Cemetery.
President-elect Joe Biden visited the Korean War Memorial in Philadelphia with his wife, Jill, on Veteran Day.
News agencies and the general public drew comparisons between Trump and Biden as trump was attending his last Veteran Day ceremony as the US president.
Both appeared in public with contradictory personas. Biden was wearing a mask while Trump was not.Also, The president-elect looked more confident.
Kathryn Diss said, “Despite a mandatory put out of mask in public gatherings, Trump and his Vice president attended the whole ceremony without wearing masks. Also, they were not carrying umbrellas, although it was raining. On the other hand, Biden and his wife were wearing masks throughout the commemoration.”
Trump has failed to acknowledge his defeat in the elections; Biden said this is “embarrassing.” Mr. Trump’s legal team has filed a case in the court, declaring the elections’ results not fair. Twitter flagged Mr. Trump’s tweets regarding fraud voters.
Trump remained silent and didn’t say a word at the Veteran Day Occasion, which is so unlike him.
