John Legend dedicated his heartwarming performance to his wife, Chrissy Teigen.
On the Billboard Music Awards, the singer John Legend dedicated his heartwarming performance to his wife Chrissy Teigen on Wednesday night.
The 41-year-old singer made the whole audience emotional because of his moving performance with his new song ‘Never Break.’
After the tragic loss of his wife’s pregnancy, it’s the first time that John came to the public stage performing in the spotlight.
The hostess, Kelly Clarkson, introduced John Legend to the crowd by saying, that everyone’s heart goes to him and his wife in this difficult time. She said everyone is really thankful that he is still here to share his talent for this special performance.
However, John is an accomplished and brilliant singer, and the audience could hear his voice changed as he was trying to hold his tears in the middle of the song.
The Never Break song’s lyrics goes like, ‘’Who knows about tomorrow? We don’t know what’s in the stars, I just know, I’ll always follow the light in your heart.” which is emotional especially for the Legend-Teigen family.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen got married in 2013. They have two children, one daughter Luna, who is four years old, and one son Miles, who is two years old.
Only two weeks ago, Chrissy and John shared their unfortunate news when they informed that they lost their child halfway through Teigen’s pregnancy. Days before, Chrissy revealed that she is on serious bed rest because of bleeding.
Losing a baby past 24 weeks is not a miscarriage. It is known as a stillbirth. If a baby dies before 24 weeks, it is called miscarriage or late fetal loss.
The couple also revealed they wanted to name the baby Jack. Before they never decided their child’s name until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before they leave the hospital. They also added, they were expecting their third child together in the music video for John’s new single, Wild, in August.
