The eldest son of the late Robin Williams married long-time girlfriend Olivia June on Saturday, which also marked World Mental Health Day.
The intimate ceremony held at The Paramour Estate in L.A., surrounded by close family and friends.
“I had the great joy of marrying my best friend @oliviajune today! It went awesome and we couldn’t have tied the knot on a better day. #WorldMentalHealthDay,” announced Williams on Twitter, posted together with a selfie of the couple.
June added her own celebratory message on Twitter, who wrote, “Married my best friend and love of my life today. @zakwilliams you were already stuck with me forever, and now it’s legally so.”
The couple loved the date 10-10-2020, which is why they decided to host an outdoor, COVID safe wedding on that date.
“In terms of the planning process, it’s been challenging, but it’s cool to see how safe you can be, while enjoying a festive occasion together,” said Williams in an interview.
Williams met the tech entrepreneur June, who founded the app Vina, after the tragic loss of his father in 2014 by suicide.
“I was going through a challenging time in my life and she was supportive and there when I needed someone,” Williams shared.
They welcomed their son last May, whom they named McLaurin “Mickey” Clement Williams – McLaurin being Robin’s middle name.
“I’m so thrilled that we now have a family,” said Williams, “I’m looking forward to building this life I’ve always wanted to have and growing together.”
“I love waking up with my son in the morning, making him breakfast and then having the opportunity to show him things for the first time.”
Williams has been a long-time advocate of mental health, and worked with organizations such as Bring Change To Mind.
Together, the couple founded PYM, which they called, “mood chews,’ to support stress and anxiety.”
