On February 26th, 2019, Stacy (30 years old), and Babajide (38 years old), from Omirin of Lagos, Nigeria were really surprised when Stacy gave birth to identical twins through C-section –  the first baby came out black and the other came out white.

The two boys, Daniel and David were born just minutes apart, but they look very different.

Despite the fact that their parents are dark skin toned and have dark curly hair, just like their 4 years old sister, Demilade, David has a white pale skin and golden hair.

David has albinism, it occurs when the body lacks or has none melanin, resulting lack of hair pigment and light pale skin tone.

When the twins are outside of Lagos’s streets everyone’s eyes are focused on them. Stacy said that her sons are like celebrities in their city. She has to answer questions all the time when they are outside, she added.

At the time she was in labor, she had no idea that they have different skin colors, the moment she saw them it was a massive surprise for her, also for Babajide. Daniel came first, and then the nurse said the second baby has golden hair. When she looked down at David, he was completely white. Stacy and Babajide couldn’t believe it, they were so adorable, they thought they had been given a miracle. 

David was born with a condition called oculocutaneous albinism which affects one in 20,000 births each year.

Stacy and the twins went home after 4 days from the hospital. When she introduced the boys to her family and friends, everyone was shocked. Stacey’s and Babajide’s family thinks they are adorable, wonderful, and really popular.

Daniel and David, regardless of their visual differences, have matching personalities, they are like best friends.

Stacy said that she has never gotten a negative comment, and not scared of what other people think. All that matters to her that she has his boys, and she loves them. She continued, she is blessed, and she is really proud of her boys.

Moreover, Stacy has recently been contacted by a UK-based modeling agency that has got in touch towards potential photoshoots.
