A female Donald Trump supporter was punched by a knife-wielding California man at a “Make America Great Again” rally, then the retired cop pulled the gun and subdued the attacker.
The heated clash unfolded on Wednesday when a 33-year-old counter-protester, Alvin Shaw, confronted the small group of people on a street in Aliso Viejo, near Los Angeles at around 6:30 pm.
The police who witness the incident told at the station that the attacker put his cigar out on 84-year-old Donna Snow’s Trump sign and blew smoke in her face.
According to the cops and the footages, the attacker also hit two other women who were 55 and 74 years old, then he pulled his knife out of his pocket on which the retired police officer sprang to action and detained him when he tried to run away.
Donna Snow said that she asked the man not to do this, but the man slapped her right across her face and her earring also broke off because of the impact.
Dennis Breckner, the Sheriff Sergeant said that the Alvin Shaw’s knife was found from a nearby bush where witnesses reported seeing it thrown. He also told that Alvin has been charged with suspicion of assault with a weapon, elderly abuse, and battery.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Alvin Shaw works for the US portal Service.
Around 20 to 30 people were gathered at the “Make America Great Again” rally, which was held on the Aliso Creek Road and Pacific Park Drive, but ended when Alvin approached them and started assaulting them.
Supporters were wearing ‘Make America Great Again’ hats and were carrying the signs that read ‘Trump-Pence’ and ‘Trump-Keep America Great 2020.’

One protestor of the rally, Cynthia Cantrelle-Westman said that when she saw him coming towards them, she thought that he came to join the group.
