Police freed a man who pulled out his gun at a Florida Black Lives Matter protest without any charges.
A man who pulled out his gun during the Black Lives Matter protest in Florida has been freed by the police without any charges after different videos revealed that he was being punched before taking his gun out.
The police said that they freed the man without any charges because there were other videos, that showed he was being punched and knocked to the ground by other people.
The footage from Saturday’s rally in Tallahassee showed that the rally confronted counter-protesters, who were walking around and after a fight, the man flashed his handgun and forced one man to drop to his knees.
But the police pounced on the gunman immediately, but the person gave his gun to the police and did everything as the police asked him to do finally they arrested him and took him to the car.
Later, another video was released that showed, he took his gun out when other protesters attacked him.
In the protester’s clip, the attack was missing, as she was filming, she suddenly changed to the front camera mode screaming he has a gun. The clip showed that the gunman forced another guy to sit on his knees, but when the police intervened, he gave away his gun and dropped to his knees, then to his belly.
After checking other videos, the police freed the gunman without any charges. The Tallahassee Police Department said that the video confirms the fact that he was assaulted by dozens of people, and he pulled out his gun as self-defense. The police confirmed that the man is the license holder and was carrying the gun lawfully.
Police said that he was taking photos of the protesters and their car plates, but the fight started when he was pushed from behind. Policed also stated that there are no reported injuries. Fortunately, the officers intervened in the fight before it gets escalated.
