A wicked man is wanted in Springfield, Massachusetts, who is charged with giving “COVID hugs” to multiple strangers at Wallmart when he had been diagnosed with a contagious disease of COVID.
He even congratulated and told people after hugging that they now had COVID. They have released an image of him wearing a mask.
It was an intentional act putting all of their lives in danger. The person is thought to have a psychological disturbance.
The police are still in search of him and they claim to soon catch the suspect. They are doing the investigations and have come to know that one of his hug victims, was a former cancer patient.
Later, the police confirmed that one of the victims of his hugs was a cancer survivor which had higher chances of falling prey to fatal COVID due to his compromised immunity.
They have released an image of him wearing a mask. The Springfield police confirmed the news and said that this happened on August 15 at 7.10 am. The suspect was not seen to be guilty of his act. He used to hug people, tell them that they now had COVID, laugh and go away.
Police called this as “COVID hug” and released his wanted video in which the suspect can be clearly seen hugging the random people in Wallmart. Police also said that this is a crime of severe nature. Even if a person does not have COVID, a false claim is as big of a crime as a false bomb threat.
The man is difficult to recognize due to the mask he was wearing. Though, it is not sure if he was wearing the mask while hugging, or not.
Springfield police have given a helpline number to share any valuable piece of information regarding the evil man’s identity. The number is 413-787-6355 which belongs to Springfield Police Detective Bureau.
May he soon get caught and punished for what he did.
