A couple of weeks ago, scientists discovered and divulged the largest ozone layer in the centuries-old history of humankind.
Scientists who became the first ones to disclose it to the world were really elated to announce this news as some of them thought it to be the largest ozone layer to be documented in decades to come.
The largest ozone layer appeared in the Arctic region, and as soon as some scientists spotted it, they took a moment to rejoice over it. They passed the news on to different circles of geeks and that’s how the discovery became known to every man jack.
It is completely astounding that the ozone layer recently documented as the largest ozone layer till date has receded from view. It is no longer there as it seems to have been closed. The scientists have lost sight to the gigantic ozone layer as it has perhaps withered away.
Just a few weeks ago, science-dudes discovered the universe’s most colossal ozone layer. Little did they know that this ozone layer would have a short life and it would soon turn into a memory from the past.
As per how experts read the situation now, the layer must have appeared amid extreme cold temperature. When winter passed, the ozone layer disappeared most probably because of the warm temperature it received in spring.
The mammoth ozone layer vanished from the spot as hastily as it appeared, so to say. That’s the reason it might have been just a seasonal occurrence and nothing else.
Experts further elucidated, when temperature drops to its lowest point, polar stratospheric clouds come into being. These polar stratospheric clouds can cause ozone-sapping chemicals, for instance, chlorine.
To put it simply, it was nothing but the vicissitudes of temperature — from extreme cold to extreme hot. The sheer intensity in temperature influenced the ozone layer to disappear as quickly as it appeared.
