In a rather terrifying incident, a police car stormed into one of Detroit’s screaming crowd of protestors.

The car then recklessly drove off with injured persons, still clinging on to the car’s hood. 

According to witnesses, the police car reportedly hit around 10 to 12 demonstrators, as it powerfully charged forward, leading to multiple injuries. 

But that wasn’t all. The reckless driver then went on swerving his vehicle, in an attempt to fling away one of the protestors, off the car’s hood, as reported by onlookers. 

This incident led many to voice their opinion strongly against the driver, terming him as ‘reckless’ as well as ‘a clear act of regression.’

A clip has also surfaced on social media, showing the events from the uncalled-for incident. The video showcases a huge crowd, consisting of protestors that were gathered around the front side of a Detroit based police vehicle. 

Likewise, the group of demonstrators are also seen chanting slogans of ‘no justice, no peace.’ Moreover, one protestor lies on the car’s hood, while the vehicle’s siren blazes out loudly. 

In a sudden turn of events, the police vehicle surges in a forward direction, ramming into the giant group of demonstrators, who begin screaming as they make a run for their safety. 

The video, made by another protestor, shows him making a run for his life too, as he leaps away safely, while still managing to record the video of the car while moving.

 

Furthermore, viewers can witness one man falling to the ground, but still managing to make a safe landing, away from the vehicle’s encroaching wheels. 

Several protestors are also seen, clinging helplessly onto the car’s hood, while one man loses his grip, falling off, amid others that continue to cling on, as the car moves away swiftly. 

 

The viral video was shared on Facebook by an activist that goes by the name of Ethan Ketner, who captioned it as ‘Detroit Police Department just ran straight through a bunch of our protestors.’
