Divers are looking for a missing five-year – old boy who has suddenly disappeared in a resort on the lake where his grandparents have a camper.
Cameron Walter was last seen on campground in Peebles, Ohio on Monday at around 5:10pm, said Kimmy Rogers, a sheriff from Adams County.
The quest, which was halted overnight, will resume Tuesday morning at 7:30 am, with a team of divers joining volunteers at 10 am.
Rogers told that it’s unknown if the boy-who can’t swim but doesn’t have any “disorders”-ran off or went into the lake.
The sheriff also told the associated press that “nothing could be ruled out” and the young boy was deemed missing.
Cameron’s appearance was described as he has green eyes, blonde hair, a height of 3 feet, weighing 45lbs. He was last seen wearing shorts of dark cargo and no t-shirt.
When Cameron’s parents could not see him for a long time and it was confirmed that he was missing, his family started seeking him with the assistance of other campers, but even though they could not find him, therefore at around 5.10pm they contacted the authorities, WCPO reported.
Officers from various departments including that of the Natural Resources Department of Ohio, local fire and EMS, and crews from Union Township and Butler, Clermont and Hamilton counties assisted throughout the search.
Cameron ‘s grandparents posses a lake resort camper in there. As per photographs posted on Sunday’s Facebook page of Cameron’s mother, the boy was on campground with his parents, older sister and younger brother for the long Memorial Day weekend.
Divers were expected to be back to the campground at 10 am to start to search the lake for the lost child’s signs, which they unfortunately couldn’t.
Anyone with information about the location of Cameron Walters asked to call the Adams County Sheriff’s Department at (937) 544-2314.
