Riley Maltas wasn’t seen in Leeds, West Yorkshire after 8 pm on Saturday when he went away from Morley.
Officers state they become ‘increasingly nervous’ about his wellbeing.
Police have appealed to the public to help trace a 12-year-old boy who went missing in West Yorkshire over the weekend. Riley Maltas has not been seen since 8pm on Saturday when he went missing from a home in Morley, Leeds.
His appearance is described as 5ft 4ins tall, slim, with short brown hair and glasses.
His sister Georgia made a heartfelt plea on social media platforms to trace her brother who was missing, and also said that he had just lost his mum.
She posted on facebook: “He is 12 years old and we ended up losing our mum a couple of months ago and he has been through a lot. He was last seen at his foster placement in Morley on the 9.5.20 at 8 pm.”
She further added, “It’s not like Riley and it’s totally impossible as it has been 24 hours now,” If someone has seen something or know where he is then please do inform our family is quite worried about him.”
According to Police, the boy was last seen in grey jogging trousers, a blue T-shirt, white sneakers and a green camouflage-style jacket which had a sheepskin collar.He however has links with Leeds and Baildon.
Detective Inspector Richard Holmes of West Yorkshire Police told the reporter: “Considering his young age and the amount of time he has been missing, we are getting deeply worried about Riley ‘s well-being.
“It’s completely impossible for him to go missing like this and we desperately need to know from somebody who has him or has any details that might help track him.” He added.
“We intend to perform a number of inquiries to locate him and would encourage anybody who can help providing any information or details should contact us urgently.”
