Harold Reid who was famously known for his singing skills and entertaining expertise left the world at the age of 80 on Friday.

Harold used to sing as a backup singer for Johnny Cash, and that’s what he got accredited for. Johnny Cash loved to have him as his backup voice as he had a euphonious voice. 

Harold Reid was the heart and soul of the music group he dedicated his life to. People from his ilk are predicted to be carefree and buoyant, but he was different, he was a hardworking guy who worshipped his work and put it before anything else.

His nephew Deo Reid confirmed his death while he was speaking to the associated press. He also lifted the veil on the cause of his death. Harold had been in a critical condition due to a kidney failure, and he could not recover from it, and eventually gave in.

80 years are not a short span to live. Harold has had the best of life, and he could barely get more of it. This young fella had little to no worries about losing himself to death because he was one of the most jaunty and zestful people this world could ever have.

His group had unlimited achievements in their bucket and winning a grammy was at the very rim of it. The group, The Statler Brothers, had bagged a grammy award when they were at the pinnacle of their career. This award is enough to validate the talent Reid brothers and their entire group possessed.

The group was brought into being in 1948 by Harold and his partners-in-crime Joe McDorman, Lew DeWitt and Phil Balsley. With the passage of time, this group exceeded all boundaries of popularity and took roots in the hearts of the people and especially music enthusiasts. People loved to groove to their notes as long as they sang.
