A 50-year-old attorney who works near Grand Central Station in Manhattan tested positive for the virus, was New York City’s first case of community spread.

This means that the officials are having a hard time to trace the source of his infection.

The man had an existing respiratory condition, which made him vulnerable to the virus, but officials confirmed that he is now stable and improving.

Two days after the attorney’s positive result, his wife, 20-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter also tested positive for the deadly virus

The same goes for the neighbor, who drove him to the hospital, and a friend of the attorney, his wife, two sons and daughter.

The day after, the governor says eight more people associated with the attorney tested positive for the virus, and announced self-quarantine directions.

The attorney attended at the Young Israel Congregation of New Rochelle, where three members tested positive.

Then, six more people related to the attorney also caught the deadly virus, and two residents from Rockland County who worked as caterers in the bar mitzvah where the attorney was believed to have attended.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo had planned to deploy the National Guard to create a 1-mile containment area in New Rochelle in an attempt to stop the spread of the deadly virus.

There are currently more than 100 cases of coronavirus in New Rochelle, which makes it the largest cluster of coronavirus cases in the United States.

“We’ll go in, we’ll clean the schools and assess the situation,” the governor said. “This will be a period of disruption for the community.”

Cuomo said that the National Guard will help combat the spread through March 25, and declared New Rochelle a “true geographic cluster,” and this incident a “true phenomenon.”
