India has gone wild for Melania Trump, giving her equivalent charging on announcements inviting President Donald Trump to the nation and adulating her signature Be Best campaign which is known to be a public awareness campaign focusing on the well being of youth and advocating against cyber bullying and drugs.
The first lady received a boisterous welcome from the 110,000 capacity crowd at the Sardar Patel Stadium, the largest cricket stadium in the world, when she joined her husband and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a rally.
She didn’t speak but in his remarks Modi lauded her signature Be Best campaign that promotes children’s well-being.
Modi while addressing the crowd praised First lady: ‘ Your presence here, first Lady Melania Trump, is a great honor for us,’ as the crowd chanted. ‘ Your attempts to create a healthy America is yielding good results. What you do in society for the children is commendable. ‘
When she landed, she smiled and waved at the audience, and sat in their glassed-in box, flanked by flowers, along with the two leaders.
During the first day of Trumps ‘ two-day presidential visit to India, the incredibly shy Melania was directly at the limelight.
Melania Trump was actively present at every event, from the arrival of the Trump until they topped the day at the Taj Mahal, she also showed up in almost every photograph.
She even addressed the press.
The first lady clearly said it was ‘ lovely, perfect, ‘ during a stop on the Taj Mahal, the historic monument to love.
The Trumps held their hands as they stood outside the white-marble tomb. Their sunset tour served for gorgeous photos and a flock of birds took off in flight before them as they walked along the gardens to visit the monument.
The first lady kicked off the trip as she walked off Air Force One in an all-white pants sequined tied around her waist with a green sash. She greeted Modi cordially, and walked down the red carpet behind the Prime Minister and her husband.
She also dropped off her pair of high-heeled shoes and wore a prayer shawl for a visit to Mohandas Gandhi’s home while accompanying the president and prime minister.
There they saw the three monkeys statues which reflect the famous saying of Gandhi, ‘ hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil. ‘
Melania Trump will join the president on Tuesday for multiple half of the second day of their visit, including a stop at the American Embassy to greet staff and a presidential palace state dinner.
