Yesterday was a sad day for China and for mankind as the number of deaths due to the deadly coronavirus was reported to be as 108 – the highest since the outbreak began.
China has reported that the number of deaths on February 10th was 108 – which is the highest since the outbreak of the coronavirus from the Wuhan city of Hubei province.
Even though the Chinese government has locked down the entire city of Wuhan, still it seems like the situation is going out of control as the number of deaths is increasing rapidly.
It has been out in the media that a few Chinese officials of the Hubei province tried to hide the outbreak news causing more harm than any benefit they were thinking of.
It has been around 2 months since the virus was first identified but yet people can’t see any ray of hope as they are losing their loved ones and life has become miserable.
Seeing the current rise of the death toll, the government has removed 2 health officials of the Hubie province.According to the National Health Commissions, as of now, the total number of deaths within China only has reached 1,016 while more than 2,478 new cases of infection were confirmed making the numbers of infected people jump up to 42,638.
Even though the exact cause of the virus outbreak is not confirmed yet, it is believed that the virus was originated from the seafood market in Wuhan city – the capital of Hubei province. Yesterday, 103 deaths had been reported in the Hubei province including 67 in Wuhan.
A day before the Chinese President Xi Jinping visit at the hospital facility in Beijing, 2 officials Zhang Jin – the party secretary of the health commission for Hubei and Ling Yingzi – the director of the Hubei Provincial Health Commission, were removed from their posts.
The Chinese President also addressed a rally in the capital and vowed to do the best to eradicate the virus.
He further added, “We can win this battle. ’ But it’s also a sign that the battle is far from over. ”Let’s hope that the governments could take control of this outbreak. Meanwhile, don’t forget to wear a mask every time you go out and frequently wash your hands with an antibacterial soap.
