Meet Nuts, a hipster pooch from Moscow whose chops can make any manly man jealous.
He is a 3 year-old Belgian Griffon, a dog breed known to naturally grow more fur on their faces than on any part of their bodies.
To his family, he is a just regular dog who has lived with them ever since he was a puppy.
Tatiana Kovalenok, Nuts’ mom, said in an interview that his beard only became noticeable at his 8 month, and that she never actually paid attention until people started commenting about it on her Instagram.
“Almost every day when we walk, we get reactions from random people regarding his appearance and his beard,” Kovalenok added.
“Kids usually say that he’s a ‘funny dog’ or ‘looks like a grandpa.’ Older people always mention him as a stylish dog, saying something like, ‘Look at the [mustache] and beard he has!’ Some people call him hipster or even Chewbacca”
Despite his raunchy beard and his badass macho stare, Nuts is in fact a sweet, loving, and playful little man, and often he thinks of himself as a human.
Kovalenok took notice of this too, and on her statement she said, “When I lay on my bed, he jumps up, lays on his back beside me and puts his head on a pillow — just like a real human,”
Aside from playing pretend-human, Nut’s is nuts about water, and gets overly excited every time he hears the words, “Wanna go bathing?”
When asked about how they maintain his chops, Kovalenok said, “We just trim him a couple times a year and let the beard be. There’s no special treatment for his beard — it just grows as it is.”
His family learned to live with his beard and all the fame and attention that came with it, and her mom showers him with love and care that he deserve.
