A month old Lillian Grace is finally declared cancer free after winning a months old battle with cancer and this amazing news was shared by the lily’s mom which just pulled the heart’s strings.
For Leann and Patrick Borden of Reno, Nevada, September 5, 2019 couldn’t have been a more thrilling and life-changing day. They were in the hospital for the birth of their first baby to be born, who was a girl and was named as Lillian Grace.
A nurse noted that lily’s limbs were not moving.
Leann Borden told that when her daughter was born she was somewhat paralyzed . “Her limbs weren’t working as they should and that’s what created concern, like something isn’t right. And after she was born, she was checked out by a nurse, and then immediately there were five nurses in the hospital room.”
Numerous experiments were carried out while Lily was in the intensive neonatal care unit but nothing indicated that anything was wrong. The other doctor ordered an MRI the moment she was about to be sent off.
The GoFundMe page of the family stated that there was an evident spot on the brain stem of Lily.
Amid days of testing and waiting, the Bordens finally realized that their daughter was born on her brain stem with a tumour.point 218 |

You’re like, ‘ What did I do to cause this? ‘ And for (doctors) to look at you and say, ‘ It’s just bad luck, ‘ I think that’s crushing me even more because you can’t even blame yourself,”.
Lily’s airway was closed due to tumor so she had to undergo a surgery. This was not it poor lily again gain had to face the wrath of targeted chemotherapy, although adults cannot handle this treatment but Lily handled it like rock star.
Lily was finally declared cancer-free in January, after weeks of chemotherapy at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland, California. Her mother declared on January 25, that her cancer treatment has been completed.
Borden thanked the hospital staff and said, “We are so grateful for all you guys have done,”In this process we’d lost everything and you guys are absolutely incredible” she added.
They hope that their daughter grow up healthy and inspire other people and teach them to never give up.
